To create a unique label design for the made-to-be-served-hot wine “Voruta Winterspice” while using the design aesthetic that is representative of the whole product family.
Wines that are meant to be served hot is a long lasting tradition during the winter holiday season. There are a few well established brands in the marked and they are known for featuring same themes in their packaging: a very classical representation of Christmas, German gluckwine aesthetic, some even feature sacral elements.
We rejected all of these themes and decided to go for a different kind of visual to reveal the beauty of the winter season. The label was illustrated as a frost on a window. A natural looking texture features different symbols coded into it: traditional “Voruta” bird silhouettes, elements of nature and ingredients for the recipe. Delicate varnish and silver foiling details added a wintery celebration feel to the label.
